Fall is a Season of Change

I love fall especially the weather and the smells.  Pumpkin pie and hot apple cider are a favorite in our home. Nothing fills a home more than the smell of cider mulling on the stove with floating cinnamon sticks. Fall brings with it the anticpation of winter and snow.  Every night I watch the evening news and try to stay positive and upbeat but even I must admit at times it is very difficult. Just like everyone else the fear of contracting Swine Flu is overwhelming.  So much media hype with more information than the average or above average person can digest. Although  Fall is my favorite season, at times this Fall has been colored with the idea of having to get an injection of a vaccine that has never been given to the public. Why can't this Fall just be colored with turning leaves, vibrant mums and silly jack-o-laterns?

Glad I've decided NOT to get that flu shot...you've painted it in scary Halloween black with hints of burning orange...
